Dear Astrology Room
Can you tell me what the future holds for me. I met my first boyfriend again after many years and are soulmates who cannot be together at the moment.
I was born in Hereford on 25th June 1947 at approx 11.00 a.m. and he was born in Hereford on the 9th May 1945 at around 9.00 p.m. I am now in a relationship with a man born on December 20th 1945 in Merthyr. He wants us to be together but however much I try, I can't get the other man out of my mind. I am finding this Sagittarian jealous and possessive but he is a loving man. What should I do?
I'm a little wary of anyone who uses the term 'soul-mate.' It's a kind of cop out clause for some of us - and please don't take this personally - when our lives aren't exactly how we want it and we regret making various decisions in the past, thus turning our exs into the 'soul-mate' we should have stayed with or re-united with and so on.
'Circumstances tore us apart', 'we were made for each other but it never worked out,' 'fate intervened' and so on make the once loved person even more desirable in our eyes. So we create a soulmate image around someone, and yes, some of us are forever attached to that image, some of us are forever attached to that person. However, I do think you have two 'soul-mates' here or rather, in astrological terms, two men who have both great affinities with you for various reasons which I don't have the time or space to go into now.
The first love will always be the first love, and as a Cancerian, you will of course have great nostalgia for the past, particularly right now as Jupiter enters Cancer for a year long stay and will be bringing up sentiments from your past and all the great (and also sad) memories for you. So take it carefully.
This current guy has great affinities with you too, but I feel you are hankering after the past, and since re-uniting with your first love, you are trapped in an illusion of an ideal of love that was never completed, for whatever reason. Why did you not stay together if you were so close? And if you cannot be together at the moment, or even it seems long ago you could not be together, then maybe that says something? Maybe that says 'soul-mates' or not, in this life you are meant to be apart, and it may be that in another life, and if you believe in 'soul' then you must believe in the afterlife, you will be finally reunited?
If you would like a more in-depth discussion about your relationships, please don't hesitate to contact me for a full reading.
With very best wishes
